Message: For poke bowls Waianae location is better. They pack better portions unlike this location. However for freshness and flavor Tamura is still one of the best markets to get poke.

Message: My favorite place to shop for local snacks and the deli get delicious poke. When there is a sale, I take advantage of the prices.

Message: Nice market. Cheaper prices. Only 4 stars because we did get some bad salmon from there which we had to throw out.

Message: Best poke selection of all the Tamuras I've been to. Their new dedicated poke section when you walk in the store to the right is a plus. Can't forget about the fried chicken here! Ono grindz for satisfy all the cravings!

Message: Tamura’s is a small town grocery store with a handful of locations scattered around the island. Nothing fancy but it gets 5 stars for one reason. Special Items. They bring in different foods from frozen, to packaged- they deliver! I was addicted to different BBQ chips (my favorite) like Stubbs or Herr’s baby back ribs chips and I loved the Detroit Frozen Pizza (please bring it back! ) They also have Ramune a fun summer Japanese soda, but today i will be telling you about my favorite. LI HING LEMON PEEL GUMMY BEARS. I have had all different brands from all different places and this is hands down THE BEST in my humble opinion. I started gobbling down these scrumptious bears for awhile now but it never occurred to me to mention them. Sorry. Better late than never right? Anyway they are the perfect ratio of Li hing and lemon peel on each bear. I don’t know how they do it but there are not any “naked “ bears in there. (I really hate it when they are naked! Lol) And like the company name, Hawaiian Addictions. They ARE indeed addicting. Not cheap special price around $7 a bag. Regular close to $10 but worth it. They have Japanese sodas i love buying, Jarritos Mexican Sodas for Taco Tuesday’s are a regular favorite. My family loves Tamara’s brand Chili Pepper Water and their Poke. A-lot of great yummy things. As always we support local so if your passing thru stop by!

Message: Tamura recently slimmed down their menu to just have mixed poke bowls. Great selection of poke flavors. Sunrise Ahi and Hawaiian style are my top picks. The kalua pig is really tender, smoky, and flavorful!

Message: Was totally not expecting such a large interior for this grocery store. Large selection of fish fresh and frozen (and a pome counter, of course), and meats, and fresh produce, including a lot of vegetables that are harder to find at generic supermarkets. (Sadly, a lot of the vegetables already come packaged in plastic bags, which means that if you don’t want to use plastic bags because of the pollution that they cause, you’re out of luck. ). Also has a full range of dry goods, et cetera. Services friendly, though check-ou lines can move slowly at times.
